Department Overview

Our Homelessness department is on the frontlines of providing support to individuals experiencing homelessness. We conduct weekly outreaches, operate support lines, and offer case management services, all geared towards finding suitable program placements, community resources or providing homeward-bound assistance. Our ultimate aim is to transition individuals experiencing homelessness from vulnerability to stability by bridging them with vital community resources that restore their sense of personal dignity. Through unwavering compassion and commitment, we aim to help individuals experiencing homelessness to take their next step on their pathway to freedom.

Programs

  • Compassion Outreach is a dedicated weekly initiative to build relationships with individuals facing homelessness in our city. Every week, we extend a hand of kindness by offering food and information about our case management services for those interested. Through genuine care and support, we aim to convey a powerful message: that they are not alone, and they are cherished members of our community.

  • Our Men's and Women's Support Lines offer a lifeline to those experiencing homelessness. The support line is run by our dedicated case managers who seek to understand each individual's story as they work with them on providing resources for next steps. Our committed case managers connect individuals with essential resources, including substance abuse/detox programs, shelters, life/job skills programs, and homeward bound assistance.

  • Our Warming Center offers refuge to individuals experiencing homelessness on freezing nights below 38 degrees. Providing warmth, a nourishing meal, and access to case management services, it's a compassionate haven from the cold, fostering hope and support for those in need.
